Asteroid (207420) Jehin
The International Astronomical Union (IAU) named asteroid (207420) Jehin after the University of Liège astrophysicist. Located in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, around 200 million km from Earth, it was captured by the Artemis telescope of ULiège's SPECULOOS telescope network.

he International Astronomical Union awarded during a congress held in Flagstaff, Arizona and bringing together several hundred participants the name of the astrophysicist from the University of Liège Emmanuël Jehin to the asteroid numbered 207420 (2006 DR65). This is in recognition for his contribution over many years to the study of small bodies of the solar system, comets and asteroids, notably with the TRAPPIST telescopes of the University of Liège but also large telescopes such as the Very Large Telescope (VLT) installed in Chile. This small rocky asteroid, approximately 1 km in diameter, was discovered on its birthday by a telescope in Arizona. It is located in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter at about 200 million km from the Earth, and it orbits the Sun in 3.6 years.
